What is oil cleansing?
Our skin produces an oil of it's own called sebum. With our busy lifestyles and exposure to makeup, dirt and pollution in the air, this sebum can become thick and sticky, making it hard for our skin to shed old dead skin cells. If a pore becomes blocked the sebum is left trapped and builds up under the blockage causing issues like black heads, pimples and cysts. Or if your skin produces low levels of sebum your skin may feel tight, flakey and uncomfortable or simply mean our skin looks dull and dry.
Sebum is our friend... but too much or too little can cause problems, which is why it's important to embrace the flow of your skin rather than going against it. Once balance is achieved, your skin will thank you for it!
So how does it work?
When our skin is warm our sebum becomes more liquefied and flows easier. When our skin is cold our sebum becomes thicker and more waxy, so when we use these cleansing oils...
-Our skin recognises the oils because the blends used in this product are similar to sebum.
-The oils interact with our sebum thinning it out and drawing impurities to the surface.
-The warmth from our hands softens the sebum.
-The stimulation from the massaging brings blood closer to the surface boosting our circulation and bringing nutrients and oxygen to our skin's deeper layers.
-The dead skin cells become unstuck with warmth & stimulation, the dirt and debris sitting in the pores of the face become loosened.
This creates an incredible deep cleanse without stripping the skin or disrupting the natural rhythm of the skin. Nor will it scratch the fresh plump new skin cells waiting for their turn in line!

I love this oil, which I use for far more than cleaning my face. But if I stop right there, it's the best cleansing oil ever. I wet a soft cloth with very warm water, rub just a couple of drops of the oil onto my face, starting with the eyes (it takes off ALL makeup, even waterproof mascara) and massage gently all over. Then it's a wipe with the cloth, eyes first and then the rest of the face. A rinse of the cloth and one more wipe all over...after than there's a soft layer of oil remaining and sometimes I don't bother with a moisturiser. I also use the rose oil drops in the Nature Body unscented moisturiser as a soft scent for the neck and décolletage area. AND...if I'm feeling a bit low, I put a drop right under my nostrils and I have a gorgeous perfume to breathe in; very uplifting.

Oil Cleanser
Beautiful soft cleanser, removes makeup, dirt, oil easily and thoroughly. Only one issue is the size of the bottle, its a bit small. A bigger size bottle would be awesome.

What a beautiful product this is to use!goes a lon
What a beautiful product this is to use! I’ve tried many products for my rheumatoid & find this really effective on my joints & really pleasant to use. I’ll be ordering the bigger size next time!
So many thanks to Adele & Deb!
It's obviously better to use a toothbrush made from only natural materials, and since I regularly order from Nature Body, getting a toothbrush or two thrown in is a no-brainer.
Firstly, I love a spray-on toner. There's no waste; no cotton ball to soak up the product, then to be thrown out. Next, the kawakawa. There's the most delicate scent, nothing to sting the eyes. It just feels calming and healing. I've started using a sonic derma planer, which sloughs off dead skin cells, and this toner is the only one I'd dare use afterwards. All in all, fabulous product. In summer I'll be keeping a bottle of it in the fridge for instant cool/calm bliss.
We love the smell of lemon myrtle spray to cover the not so nice bathroom smells. We've been using this product for several years now and wouldn't consider any other product in our house for this purpose.
