Featured in Neat Places: Top 10 NZ Body Care Brands

We recently came across something that made us pause for a moment (in the best way).

We were included in Neat Places’ Top 10 NZ Body Care Brands - alongside some truly beautiful names in Aotearoa’s natural body care space.

To be honest, it’s not something we set out chasing.

Because for us, it’s always been about something a little simpler - making thoughtful, effective products, in a way that feels right.

Aotearoa is doing things differently

One of the things we loved about the article is the reminder that things are shifting.

More and more people are starting to question what’s in their products - those long ingredient lists, the things you can’t pronounce, the things that don’t quite sit right.

And here in New Zealand, there’s a growing community of makers choosing a different path:

  • smaller batches
  • fewer, better ingredients
  • a closer connection to where things come from

It’s a space we’re proud to be part of.

Our little corner of it

The article describes us as a “small business doing big things” which gave us a bit of a smile.

Because behind the scenes, it's still very much a hands-on, everyday kind of operation.

We’re still focused on:

  • sourcing ingredients locally
  • formulating slowly and intentionally
  • creating products that genuinely support daily self-care
  • and making choices that reduce our impact (like earth friendly containers, refill options, and our glass buyback system)

Not because it sounds good, but because it’s how we believe things should be done.

In good company

What stood out most in the Neat Places piece is the diversity of approaches across the brands featured.

From fruit-based skincare to herbal formulations, from solid beauty bars to small-batch apothecaries - there’s no one “right” way to do natural body care.

Just a shared intention:

to create products that are better for people, and better for the planet.

That’s something we can absolutely stand behind.

A thank you (without making a fuss)

We’re genuinely grateful to be included.

But more than that, we’re grateful to be part of a wider shift - one where people are choosing to buy a little more consciously, support local, and reconnect with what they’re putting on their skin.
